Does anybody here woodwork any more? Sure not many projects making the boards. Maybe everyone is like me and catching up on yard work.

ya can't rush perfection. seems the only reason for slow production in projects is we want to take our time and make things right. but, i could be wrong and no one is building anything. as for me i'm on my 4th porch swing and a rocking horse with plans to start a picnic table and maybe throw a box in there someplace if i find some time.

I was just wondering. I did rough out a bowl this evening but it's soaking in DNA right now. I would think that with 179 woodworking members, someone would have something in progress most all the time. Not the first time I've been wrong.

I have two projects in progress at work and three projects in progress in the shop. So I've got five projects going on right now. Maybe that's why I can't get any of them done. ;D

My general lack of shop time must be legendary by now. I've been slowly working on table glue-up, sanding, finishing. Nothing exciting to talk about or take pics of.

The raised garden and some other yard work have kept me away from doing much in the shop lately...and a day lost to figuring out taxes too The weather has been so nice here lately that I prefer being outside, and it is not going to be long before it gets hot, so I gotta get the outside stuff done while I can. I did a little more on the bunk bed today, and tomorrow will hopefully get some more done on it.

Other than being dry, the weather has been gorgeous here the past week. I got a lot done outside, too, and the shop reflects it...it's messy. I even got my oldest daughter to rake leaves and put them in the yard trailer today. Me and the grandson hauled them to the burn pile and dumped the trailer...about 6 or 7 loads. I convinced daughter no. 1 that my back was acting up too badly to stoop and pick up leaves. Plus, she needed a tank of gas for her car. ;D

Been awefully busy juggeling several balls.
I did spend the day in the shop.
Got the drawers finished for the dresser - no time to do pics.
It does not appear so slow to me.
Rather - it appears that we are doing fairly well, considering we are less than a year old.

Tomorrow I plan to either install my water heater or paint the bike lift ... or both. THEN i'll try and get back to my coffee table after i've vacuumed up some metal dust...

The vortex and back pain consume my time.
When I'm not turning something, seems I find myself still in the chair next to the flowers that were planted years ago. Just thinking....
I really love spring here in Arkansas. I try to get outside in it every day! Won't be long and it'll get hot...with high humidity that keeps me looking for a cool spot.

I managed to spend several hours in the shop yesterday, but they went to running a series of outlets down the middle of the ceiling so I can have some power in the middle of the room, and then trying to find out why my jointer keeps flipping the flipping breaker. The good news, after MUCH trial and error: the outlet itself is bad. The bad news is the hardware store's closed until Monday.

I have been working on remodeling a house, painting and replacing siding on the weekends. During the week I have been working on building a tool chest out of ash and hickory. Then I have the lawn to mow and everything else to do it seems. Just busy I guess.

My excuse: no shop, no 220v. I really could be doing something with my 110 tools and hand tools though, I have no excuse other than no shop.
In fact, you have motivated me. I resolve to make something with my available tools/environment. I think a step stool for Colin to get into bed.
