To help with speed things up for Cody I offer this. In the foreground, a bit of French polishing on the inside of a box and the top panel. In the background, a box in process that doesn't want to be built. I had to walk away from this one and think about how to fix/finish the project.

I've got 2 projects in progress, mud room lockers and a pool house bar. The lockers are mostly finished, just some trim to finish. In fact they are already in use. Hopefully I can finish this weekend and post some pics. The bar is about 3/4 finished. It is from a Wood magazine from a couple years back. All cedar, except I deviated from the plan and the top will be mexican tile.
My shop time is really limited (see my post about sound insulation) but at about 30 minutes per day I should have the bar done minus the top in a week or so.

I've done a bit of "woodworking". My MIL lives in an apt behind us and the other night her kitchen cabinet fell off the wall. When we built the house and her apt, we had the cabinets custom made. This cabinet is just a bit over 3' wide and was full of dishes. They had put it up there with 4 2" screws, one in each corner top and bottom. How it stayed up there the last eight years I do not know. Suprisingly, it did not damage the cabinet too badly. One of the doors was broken but I took it back to the guy who made the cabinet and he was able to fix it for me and put it back on the cabinet. He swore up and down that they never used 2" screws for anything. Then I pulled out one of the screws that I had taken out of the cabinet. He could not believe it. He didn't charge me anything to repair the cabinet which was probably a good thing for the both of us....lol. And just yesterday I finally finished putting a door and a drawer in the router table I had started. I will try to get a picture of the finished table as soon as I can remember to take the camera out to the shop with me on one of the dozens of trips back and forth....lol.
Now if someone can tell me where I put my finish nailer, I have another project started that I need to get finished.

I decided if I moved the dinning room to the shop, I could spend more time there.

French polishing...that's something I've wanted to learn for a long time but just haven't gotten around to trying. A tutorial by someone here would sure be a good thing. Rick, Jerry? How about it?

Oh thats it. I give you a small taste and you want more. I cannot give a tutorial on French polishing as, after four years, I still do not know how to do it right. I just keep trying and I am getting better but the perfect result is still way out of reach. That is why you see the rubbing compounds there and I usually only get a semi-gloss finish when all goes well. Sorry.

I have 2 mission end tables that are in pieces and will remain in pieces until I'm done with the big stuff. Sorry but I can't go any faster. I often give my woodworking tools loong looks before heading out to do the stuff I've been doing.

Hey, I'm still new at this, but I'm trying. I let my epoxied blanks dry at least a week before I try to turn them.
