... in the patootie. They were on sale.... so I decided to try some. Real picky on length and diameter...... Anyway, here it is. American Classic Click Pen in acrylic.

I agree they are kinda a paint to turn since you have to turn a tennon. but it sure is purty

I've seen those click pens in the catalog and wondered about them. They sure look like twist pens don't they. Thanks for the feedback...now I won't have to try that particular pen kit I agree that it sure looks purty!

Is that the "classic" kit they've got going at PSI - buy two get one free? If so - I'll pass on trying it this time 'round.
The pen looks nice though!

I'll amplify what I was saying about the kit...
The lower barrel must fit perfectly into the upper barrel... about 1/4" or so slides into the upper barrel when you click the pen.
Here's the deal... by the time you get the blank small enough in diameter to slide into the upper barrel you are very, very close to the brass tube.
.... and
You also have to deal with making the pen in some sort of shape... but are very restricted due to the diameter requirements.
..... and
The nib is a little larger than the diameter requirements for the barrel... so you end up with a weird shaped pen.
I like the kit if I can think of a way around this weird lower barrel... some shape that will allow it to slide into the upper barrel but still look good...not like some bare bones skinny stick.
