Has anybody heard good, bad ugly about the little generator from HF? Stock # 66619, 800 watt. I do have a 6,000 watt generator for home and jobs. I was thinking about this for my ice fishing shanty to run blenders (for female beverages) and my TV instead of 12V DC. Any thoughts would be appreciated. By the way it is on sale for $89.99 plus 20% off. I may need to give it a try.

WOW!
You have one of those fancy Ice Fishing Shacks! (that's what I called them... guess I was wrong.)
Those can get real FANCY...
Do you have heated too so you don't have freeze them off?
Lights & TV... all the comforts of home...
Bed? Couch? Chairs? Stove?
Have any pics? That would really be interesting to see...

no pics yet Joe. It is 5 years old. 8' X 16' with 2 rooms, all covered in roofing rubber for the roof and outside. All insulated and heat in both rooms. We usually keep it about 70* when out there. TV's in both rooms, radio, electronic darts, lights inside and out, card tables, old cordless drill turned into a blender and beer. We enjoy the winter.

It's definitely a lightweight... chainsaw motor and I'd bet it's got aluminum windings in the generator... but for light use & portability, it may not be beatable for the money they're asking. That IS INEXPENSIVE!
With that chainsaw motor, I'd set it up in the truck bed to run it. Otherwise it'll buzz the fish away from your hole.
EDIT: Oh, and... don't plug any EXPENSIVE TV into it. Ya never know how good the voltage regulation might be.

Tim fish or no fish it is a good time. We catch enough fish in the summer in the boat to keep us in stock. The "chain saw motor" was my concern, we would like to be able to hear each other talk. Pick up or ATV bed is a good idea thanks.
