When I bought my Jet table saw 2 years ago (used) the guy threw in some 10" blades. Another blade he gave me was a 7 1/4" 24 tooth Promax adjustable dado (the wobble type). My question is are these things any good? I can't see it as being good for the saw. The thought of it scares me (I have never used it). I have always used my router for this work. Put the blade in the scrap pile?

If it's still sharp, give it a shot. I've got one 24-tooth single-blade wobble dado head and one 80-tooth two-blade wobble head, and they both give me really very good results.
A router will give you flatter-bottomed dados & grooves, but a dado head (wobble or stack) will give you results faster & quieter... and may give you better control & consistency of dado width.
If ya don't want it, sell it or give it to somebody who wants one - it's surely worth SOMETHING. Don't just throw it away.

I will give it a try. I have never used one and thought it may be hard on the saw. If I don't like it I will give it away, it looks like new and is sharp. Thanks Tim.

The wobblers are OK - not great.
The stacked dado set is better.
My preference is a routered dado.
