Well, it's about time Mav!
That first one has a very similar spalt line in it as one I made. Very nice.
Nice job on both pens!

Nice work! The spalting on that top pen is GREAT! The bottom, I agree, it's more feminine, but it looks really nice too!
I like the shape of them too!

I did place a large order over the weekend. there is a majestic jr, and a flag cigar pen in the works. I will make and post asap once I get the order |

When I first looked at the top one, I thought sure it was mesquite. Maybe the lighting or something, but maple would have been my last guess.

some of the gecko maple is dark and some is pretty light

thanks again for the nice comments guys. I like em spalted to. I found a few spalted logs of pear that look pretty promising. I am going to cut up this weekend and get a few done. My wife keeps adding pens to peoples christmas list. I bet I have made 30 pens this year for gifts.
