I've been watching Craig's List for a reasonably priced scroll saw. I saw one listed today for $50 and decided to buy it. It's a Delta 16", two speed saw. It needs a little cleanup and I'll have to get some blades but it runs well. That little sucker is solid cast iron, too. It's heavy for it's size. I don't know anything about scrolling but I thought $50 was cheap enough to find out if I can do it, will like it or whatever.

I've been quite happy with my VS model of that saw. Of course, within a couple weeks of my having bought that saw for around $150 it was discounted to $99 as it was being discontinued. I mostly run it at a pretty low speed, so the 2 speed will probably do fine.
If you find that you enjoy it and want to upgrade, I think the DeWalt is probably the best scroll saw for under a grand.

I bought a Delta 16" scroll saw at Sam's Club on a closeout. IIRC, I spent $43 on it, including delivery. My wife had a hissy fit. So, I quit telling her how much I spend on tools.

Nice! Does it (now) take pinless or pin-type blades? If it takes pin-type, you can get adaptors.

It takes pinless blades. I just ordered a batch from Mikes...thanks for the link, Joe.
Okay, I've got a project going that I need to get back to...later, y'all.
