I'm making my daughter and granddaughter full length mirrors for Christmas. The mirrors will pivot on a frame. I need the pivot hardware. I plan to put a threaded insert in the mirror frame and just drill through the supports. So I'm thinking all i need is a 3/8" bolt with a decorative "wing nut type head". I made one years ago, but can't remember where i got the hardware. Here's a pic of the old one.  I'm open to suggestions if there's something better. |

Mirror Hinge Screw....duh!!! I was drawing a blank on what to call it.
And yes rockler does have 'em.

As I was scrolling down I thought "Van Dykes Restorers should have one of those!"
Glad you found something that would work instead. VD can be a little pricey for some stuff.

I'm finding them everywhere. Now that I know what to call 'em. I need to see the Doc about these brain farts. There doesn't seem to be much time between them lately.  |

I hate it when I can picture what it is I want but can't think of the name for it. In my case it's getting to be old age or CRS...Can't Remember Sh.....er, ....Something.
