It's been my experience that Milwaukee battery drills are total junk. Now, their corded drills rock, especially the 1/2" Hole Shooter.

I paid a premium price to get battery powered Milwaukee and two for two were bad investments. We use Makita in a heavy industrial setting and they really hold up even in abusive situations driving several hundred screws per day. The next battery powered tools for our home shop will definitely be Makita not Milwaukee. bmorto

Well, Milwaukee is a good name of high quality stuff. ... and there are others... Makita Festool Bosch Hitachi etc... I would have to look at all of the other TOP companies to compare... I don't have anything against Milwaukee... Enjoy whatever you get!

For corded drill motors, Milwaukee is neer industructable. I've seen Milwaukee batterys last minutes, but I don't know how old those batterys were since I borrowed the tool. I am really happy with my Dewalt 18V drills. Batterys last a LONG time, and I haven't noticed them retaining less of a charge yet. I've had 2 of them for about 5 years now.
Oh, I did see a Dewalt 18V Impact driver self destruct once. However we had used it to tighten about 100 5/8" concrete anchors in a row before it quit. I don't think they are ment for that type of work.
