Doesn't have a tail, and you squeeze it to shoot staples. ;D Tis the time of year for hanging Christmas lights and decorating the yard. For several years I've using these plastic clips that clip onto the shingles to hold the lights, but they're a real PITA because the LOML insists that the lights all stand up at attention instead of just dangling how ever they happen to want to hang.
Was in Lowes a few days ago and saw this stapler they had back by the Christmas stuff specially used for stapling wiring. It was like $10.00 but I didn't get one then. Went today to specifically get one and though they had several left, they didn't have the staples and insulators. It came with only 30 insulators and 60 staples. Checked in the 'lectrical area and they didn't have the staples/insulators for that brand/model. They did have another brand that sold for $35 and have plenty of the staple/insulators for that one. I went ahead and picked up the more expensive one figuring I'll be able to get staples for that one for sure.

I've got a round-crown stapler built for telephone/network cable - it gets me by for Christmas lights when I gotta' hang 'em. It's a standard Arrow stapler - T-25 or T-50 or one of those (I can never remember which is which 'less I've got it in my hands).

This one is called a Cable Boss and the four different staples available for it will handle everything from telephone wires to Romex. I got the 5/16" ones for handling the smaller wires.

That sounds pretty neat! I checked mine, BTW - it's a T25. In fact, I just used it about an hour ago to hang Cat5 & phone in the stairwell so I can 'rock over it.
