I got a lightpull kit a while back, but haven't ever turned one before. Since I'm starting to work on a new kitchen table and chairs made of cherry, I thought the fan/light over the table deserved a little dressing up. It's nothing too fancy, but the cherry burl is pretty wood once it darkens up.

That's pretty cool.... I like the.... "beading"? at the top and the bead at the bottom... I'm just starting to tinker with stuff like that.... getting easier to make what I'm thinking in my head - and less "by accident" that I get a neat profile.

I like it Rob. That's something I've never made. And it is good to start small on the Cherry project...lightpull, table, chairs

I'm not really very good at beading, and I usually have to reference others' designs for this sort of thing, but I just decided to wing it here, and I'm happy enough with the result.

That ought to go well with your DR stuff, Rob...especially as it darkens like you said.
FWIW, fan & light pulls are good sellers, too, judging by how many Boodrow sells along with his bottle stoppers.

Looks great!
You did a good job on those beads... kept them nice and crisp.
