My day job is in computer networking, but woodworking is my sanity.
I use my 2 1/2 car garage as my shop, which, at my wifes instruction, must also hold cars.
My current arsenol includes a Craftsman 22124 TS, 2HP HF Dust Collector, Rigid Planer, Rigid Jointer, Rigid 12" CMS, a no name jig saw, PC low profile ROS, DeWalt ROS, and last, but certainly not least the DeWalt DW618B3. Of course, I also have some planes, chisels, etc. to do some of the detail work.
Been doing this for just over a year or so now and have made improvements along the way. Of course learning new things all the time and never satisfied with my skills, but if I ever was, then I'd probably get bored.

Welcome to WOW.
A good place get fresh ideas and learn new techniques.
A guy named Woodmangler shared his plans on how to make Feather boards and the list goes on.
There are many good tips to be found in here.
Enjoy.

Thanks for the welcome. I'm actually a bit of a convert from the previous ww boards.
Yes, I do woodworking for sanity. Inside the house is the wife and 2 young dogs. Trust me, doing woodworking out in the garage is much more sane than being in the house with them.
Nope, no lathe, although I'm sure in a few years and a few other tool purchases I'll look to get a small one to be able to try my hand at turning legs, finials, etc.
Leo - yes, another geek, in the sense that I know about computers. However, I certainly am not the computer geek type. Some people in the field really do need to get a bit of a life.
