Well - like I said, it was going to be utilitarian. Here it is. It's made of Pine. Corners are plain mitered, and they do NOT show any sign of cuts or spaces. Everything is glued and brad nailed together. I primed it, with oil based primer. Top paint is the best Sherwin-Williams white satin oil based paint. The junkiest Sherwin-Williams is better than the best Behr paint. Lastly, wet sanded with 600 then paste waxed, for a silky smooth finish. The bottom has an old terrycloth towel glued in place with spray adhesive. The perimeter of the underside has rubber bumpers. Hopefully the dresser top will be well protected. It is attached with two cleats in the back. The cleats clamp the changing top to the dresser. Two screws and the top lifts easily off. Scheduled for delivery Tomorrow --- pics in place with Anna on top - tomorrow. READY to GO

nicely done leo. That will be a lifesaver or backsaver, I am not sure which. One thing is for sure, It will get plenty of use. ;D

nicely done leo. That will be a lifesaver or backsaver, I am not sure which. One thing is for sure, It will get plenty of use. ;D It will be a lifesaver!! I can not emphasize enough how much I HATE my current "changing table" (just a counter high table with a changing pad on top, not even secured on or with bumpers around it...) It ceased to become functional when my little one started moving around and grabbing things! The top will help hold the changing pan safely and allow me to put things like powder, diaper cream and diapers more securely in the back and wipes on the table so they do not get knocked off the table constantly! The dresser itself will last for years... no... generations to come! The storage will be much appreciated and will replace a cheap plastic storage unit with drawers. Little Anna's room will finally be complete!!

Simple utilitarian eh? That looks as detailed and custom as could be. But, then again I would expect nothing less from you Leo. That is pure quality, my friend.

That's a perfect way to top off that dresser, Leo. I'm sure Mama and baby are both gonna enjoy it. That's fine work my man.
