I made one of these for a guy who gave me the BEB and it got enough interest at the last craft show that I decided I should make one to sell. Actually, I've made 2 sets, but this is my favorite of the 2. The business card in the second pic is just a guy I have done some business with before and I really liked the way the horse pic looked with the cardholder.

What is the finish on the holder? Whatever it is, it sure brought out the figuring in that piece!!

That is very nice and should go over well at the shows. good choice of wood to go with the gold finish

Thanks guys. My wife applied the finish. She put on 3 or 4 coats of Minwax glossy Wipe On Poly. I also applied a Minwax "Natural" stain prior to her putting the poly on which helped pop the grain.
The pen got the stain treatment too, but the finish is CA.
