Couple more stoppers

Here is some pics of a mun ebony and black and white ebony I turned this weekend. Laquer dip finish on both. And by the way Doug this is what mun ebony used to look like instead of the very blacker color. Found this piece scavaging for some bloodwood.

I really like the taller design, but I also like the coloring you brought out in the shorter one!

Nice stoppers Boodrow! I really like the shape and the color of that Mun Ebony one and BWE is always beautiful wood. I'm not so sure about the shape of that one though - what did your lady at work say about them?

At first the pics looked a little blurry to me, but then I drank a few cold ones and they looked just fine! ;D

Thanks Doug , the reason for the shape of the BAWE was the black stripes on the back side , would have been mostly gone unless I left it that way , one of them things that the wood dictates to u how u goin to turn it.

I can understand that Boodrow. Especially with bottle stoppers where you get to have a lot more choices in the shape.

I have a hard time coming up with a lot of different designs. I like the shapes of both of em. good job boodrow

Thanks Mav , sometimes its hard to come up with new designs , but sometimes the wood dictates how to be turned to show its best features.

I saw these when you posted them originally - I just didn't reply then. They look good, I like both woods quite a bit, but I think I like the shape on the left better...yeah - the taller one.

Thanks Zac , myself I like the one on the left better as well , its just the damn black lines in the rite one controled what I did with it.
