This is a long shot, but if there are any members in western PA (Butler, specifically) who are looking for good used tools--RBI scroll saw(!), drill press, table saw, band saw, sander, to name a few--my folks are having a garage sale Thursday through Saturday of this week.
My dad takes very good care of his stuff, so if you're interested, let me know, and I'll point you in the right direction.
I stand to gain nothing from this, but I'd rather these tools go to a woodworker who will take care of them. PM me if you have questions ... not sure I'll be able to answer them, but I can at least tell you where the sale is.

No problem here, Jim. I hope you get the wayward tools to good homes

Ah yes. I have fond memories of Butler.
The only place I've ever seen where at the main intersection in town, they turn the traffic lights red in all directions, then ring a bell so that pedestrians can cross the street in any direction.

How on earth do you know Butler??
Most of the towns around there were like that when I was growing up, though I'm pretty sure they've gotten away from it.
I was raised in Portersville, though ... no red lights, and not even a four way stop sign! Butler was the big city to us.

Jim, LOML is from the Oil City area and we lived in Canonsburg (Actually Mc Murray Twp) for a couple of years. On visits to LOML parents etc. sometimes we would drive through Butler.
Man it's been years! That was before I-79 was finished and before PA 8 was improved.
We even thought about buying a 40 acre farm in Zelienople but the commute to the South Hills would have been a bear!

Before 79? Impossible commute. Portersville is just north of Zelienople on 19 ... and Zelie's my mother's hometown. It's kind of greater Pittsburgh now. Small world!

I knew this was going to happen. I think I'm going to buy his drill press ... it's a Rockwell radial that extends out to 16" ... Now how do I convince Michelle that we need a second drill press?
He hasn't sold the RBI scroll saw yet either. It's pristine, but Michelle won't swap it for her Dewalt. (And of course we don't need two scroll saws!).
