This is a challenge on another board but I thought you might want to see. 8 3/4" x 1 3/4" overall Cup 1 1/2" inside Ball 1 1/4" dia. 17" string to ball Gotta be good to get it in the cup! ;D

What kind of wood is that? The ball looks like some of the phenolic you've been working with.

It's all Maple, the ball is stained "dark walnut" and the handle "golden oak" The phenolic is way too hard for me to try a ball out of.

It is surprisingly hard to turn a perfectly round ball. Was that the challenge Beeze? I think those things are really cool. The sell something similar to that all over down in Mexico. I can't remember what they call them... Nice work Beeze, though I'm not crazy about using a Walnut stain on Maple

Too cool. Way overboard for a little toy, but that's the way I like it. Well worth going the extra mile.
Love the burn lines, enough, but not too much, IMO.
Now that's the kinda stuff I'd like.....aw hell...never mind.
