I didn't like the lids so I just keep trying. I think the one on it will do.

I agree with TJ - I like the one on the right the best....but seeing it on the box - I may like something else more.
Regardless Fred - they are all looking nice!!

The one on it just does not look right to me. Maybe it is too big in diameter? But I also like the bullseye one on the right the best. Both the shape and the woods used appeal to me more than the other two.
Is the box itself made of Oak? I could not really tell.

Fred they all look good , but I have to go with the one on the right. Could be a good selling point " it has multiple lids , get tired of lookin at one put another on it" Agin nice lookin project Boodrow

IMO...the one on the right.
I think it's the tall handles on the other's that make 'em look.....uhh...not as appealling.
Can we see more of the bowl?

I like the one that you have on it, Fred. It appears to be a flatter shape...almost a cyma curve, where the the one on the right is more cone-shaped.

This one would look betteron a round bowl: The wood on this one has a lot of black color(like rot) Cody I don't know what that word you used means but: I'm not real happy with any of them, I can remount and change if I decide to. I don't sell any but this one I was going to put in a yankee swap at the family reunion so I would like it to be pretty nice. I usually just give them away.

Having seen 'em on the box, I'm going to switch my vote to the second photo, the color seems to match up a little neater by my eye.
What finish did you use? I'm trying to work up a gloss and I aint getting as much as I'd like.

TJ I sealed with spay can shellac then a few coats of wipe on poly. I sand the shellac a little, use steel wool lightly between coats of poly. The middle lid is the only one that is completely finished.

The one one place on it in the original photo(very first), makes it look like an acorn.(Pretty cool)
I like the burn line one....think it matches up with the container.
The one with the tallest one is a little too much height, but it is very cool regardless due to the shape.
Scott (like them all....that didn't help you did it) B

That's a winner Fred. I like it much better now, and with the perspective that picture provides, that is the one I like best too.

My final answer. I modified one and I like it a lot more. Here is a pic. I concur, that is a winner. I was not keen on it before, because for my so-called sense of style, the handle part was just too tall for me. but that last modified one works, still tall, but not distractingly tall to my sense of it.
