Another Cone stopper

OK I had some peoples say I needed to make a dark base for the cone.
IMOP the bloodwood looks quite abit better. Yall let me know what u think. The pics kinda suck , dont know what happened

I think that looks better than the Bloodwood. In fact, I just finished gluing up a base onto a cone I found just like that one.

It's my personal opinion only, mind you.

BTW, I love that shape, too.

I do like the shape but the ebony and bois d'arc lamination at the base is REAL nice. Good work man - I'd buy it for sure!

Yeah, I was riding Little Man around on the lawnmower and spied it. I epoxied the Ebony and Bois d' Arc base onto it and clamped it up. I'll see how it turns when I get back home in two weeks.

Well I guess somebody has to be contrary. I agree with you Boodrow that Bloodwood looks better with Pine Cone. The Ebony is OK, but Bloodwood is still my favorite wood to use with both pine cone and antler. Ebony would be my second choice, and they both need a light wood to contrast with.

I love the shape of that stopper! And it is still a very nice looking one, but Bloodwood would be more better in my humble opinion.

I like this one a lot. The shape is great and wood choice is great. Nothing wrong with mixing up the colors of wood from time to time. not everyone will like the same thing
