That pen is stellar Boodrow! Nice to see you get a pen out once every six months Nah, I know - sometimes they are a real bite to turn. The walnut root looks great - reallny neat lookin. So is the bath mat in the back of the picture! Nah - a bed sheet is what was behind a lot of my photos. How did you like the polaris kit? They always kind of.... I don't know - stood out to me and I kind of liked them - but have never tried one. I keep scrolling up to look at the pictures - it's real nice. What did you use to finish it? Oh - and lastly - how was it turning "root" - kind of like wood?? Zac

Gomer aint that the truth !! ;D Zac I forgot to answer ur question on the Polaris pen. I liked the pen kit and will prob order more of them. On another note I seen my daughter and sister today and niether one of them liked it , said it was to fat. With that said I guess it would be a mans pen? Boodrow

Boodrow I could definitely see how it could be problematically thick for a more delicate hand. how long is that pen? I think it looks really neat. I can see why the overall shape wouldn't be for everyone though.

RW the wood part of the pen is 2 7/8 inches long. I will have to measure the overall length of it and get back to u on it. Thanks for the reply Boodrow

I love the Walnut root Boodrow. I never have been a fan of the Polaris kit though. I know what it is that bothers me about that pen kit, but it is hard to explain. Using some nice wood like that Walnut root helps a lot

Thanks RW and Doug , the pics dont show the swirls it has in it , but anyway I will let the lady at work today tell me what she thinks , what she likes generally sells good. RW the total length of the pen is 4 13/16 +or- a tad Boodrow

Run out of wood? Had to go with the root.....
Well, doesn't matter. You made it look real purty!!!!!
What is the diameter at the largest circumference?
Scott (makes me think about pulling some root balls out) B

Thanks Scott , the root is a piece I got from Cody that he aquired sometime back. He ruined a a chain or 2 cuttin this stuff up. The widest diameter , using a caliper is 0.600 inches around. Boodrow
