Wow! What a hunk of beauty. Oldest workable timber on the planet. Each tree grows for at least 1500 years and was preserved underground for at least 50,000 years. Amazing w/ price to match. This slab is 90 inches in length, 48 inches in width, and is 3.5 inches thick; totaling 105 board feet. Price: This is one remarkable slab! Priced at $8,400.00 plus packaging and shipping.

I made a pen out of this stuff....... Pretty nice looking stuff - expensive for a whole slab, but nice looking color. I made mine into a cigar pen - I thought the back story was interesting. Zac

Culling out discardable scraps from the "keepers" stock... ya use a magnifying glass with stuff that expensive.

I think I'm too..... aww hell I don't know what, superstitious isn't the right word, but its the closest I've got.... to do any work with something like that.
I mean even setting aside cost, and skill... for big pieces of timber like that, I just can't think of a project worthy of it.

I'm kinda right there w/ ya RW. I would feel like a diamond cutter. As I am still learning this great hobby, I just ain't good enough. Yet..... Zac did you sell the pen? If so how much did you ask? It looks great BTW.
