Good lookin' youngun, Gomer. Those forms are impressive! They also take up a lot of room. I expect one has to be really committed to get to that stage. Good stuff and keep the updates coming. One of my roundtoit projects is a Cedar strip canoe.

Oh yeah...so far, so good. That's the best kinda helper ya got there, too. Keep us posted...I wanna see this thing come together. I have dreams of making some sort of fishing boat one of these days. (Probably when I get tired of turning hollow vessels)

Looking great Kyle. I can't wait until I have one old enough to be a shop helper.

Nice job. Are you gonna buy pre-formed strips or cut your own? Be interesting to see how you set up for shaping the edges of the strips. Be nice to have two routers to be able to be set up to do both edges at once, but set-up for that might be something of a nightmare.

Thanks to you all. Zachary is the good one. My oldest couldn't care less about the shop. He's 17 and his world is all about the "chicks". Cody, you are correct bud, it does take some space, but SHE don't need to park in my shop anyway. Larry, do I look like I know what I'm doing? Sometimes I wonder. You and CANOECRAFT will keep me from pulling my hair out. Jerry, I am going to rip my own strips, and use the "canoe" bit from Rockler to bead and cove the edges. There is a place that explains a jig to do exactly what your talking about, as far as doing them both @ the same time. I have not had any luck finding it on the web though. Guess I'm gonna have to write the company to find out how to do it. If not I will just run em through the router twice. Don't want to have to do that though. Dave, I will definitely keep you posted. I'm documenting it all and will make one long post when it is completed. Heck, I'm even putting it to Powerpoint. I wish you all the good fortune in the world on your boat build. Make sure the wife approves or your in for a......well you know. And none of this .

Mark, Thanks bud. You just let that little one take all the time in the world. They grow up so fast, it seems. I dread the day that mine are no longer here. Leo, I plan to do just that. I appreciate your interest. I will do my best. May take a good while to finish her, but I'm in no hurry. I got my lil' pirogue to paddle around with in the mean time. Boodrow, You could prolly turn one, if you got a lathe big enough. And I would NOT have a problem hopping into your vessel at all. It would be a first class ride, I'm sure.
