Nice. You gonna make a frame or hang it from the porch rafters?
Looks very similar to one I made years ago out of pine. In the shade of the front porch the original Spar Varnish lasted until last summer when I painted it with the latex I was painting some of the house trim.

For 27 dollars I would keep that sucker. Give it to the kids or other relatives.

Great swing. Looks very comfy, and well built. $27 wouldn't even pay the sales tax on that beauty.

35 dollars at the auction. only cost i had in it was bolts and my time, and tool wear . but, selling it at the auction led to people seeing that i make things with wood and that started it. i got a few request to make wood things last night . so i think ill be alittle busy in the shop for alittle while. thats what i was hoping would happen so a low price on the swing was worth it.

Congrats! Word of mouth is the best advertising out there. Keep up the good work and I'm sure you'll be as busy as you want to be.

I was wondering why you were letting that swing go for such a low price.
Whoever bought it got a real bargain.
I bought one from an INTERNET company last year, it cost approx $ 300.
Don't give your stuff away, from the picture of the swing you can demand a decent price for your work.
I hope the orders come pouring in.
