I had asked earlier about what type finish to use on this wall hanging. I tried several of the suggestions, and clear shellac gave the look my wife wanted. This is a piece of big leaf maple with 3 coats clear shellac, sanded between coats and finishe with Johnsons paste wax. Before and after pics.

I was still using image shack. Went to tiny pics and it worked ok.

I was still using image shack. Went to tiny pics and it worked ok. . Didn't have macro turned on. See if this shows grain better.
