sorry for the crappy pics. using my crappy camera.
I figured since I have not been in the shop in the last month or so I had to get this done since the people who requested these are getting ancy. I just got an offer on my house and the wife and I went house shopping today. found one we like, so this may be the last few things I build before we sell/buy and move.

Nice group of pens, Mav. You really can't go wrong with Camo and Antler on cartridge pens.

Nice group of pens, Mav. You really can't go wrong with Camo and Antler on cartridge pens. agreed, The last requested pen out of this order is both camo with antler ends laminated together. I am hoping to finish it tomorrow/next day.

It must just be me Mav, but the camo does not do much for me...I l know I am in minority there.
The Afzelia burl is awesome, and the whitetail antler if fantastic. That antler one is my favorite. I love it when you get that look in the antler. I don't even know what to call it, but the mottled darker portions with the Ivory white combination is my favorite look with antler.
Nice work. Those are all great pens, though I am really partial to the click cartridge pens over the twist ones. Everyone has their own preference, and I have no doubt those are going to sell.

I am not sure if i like the twist or click ones best. these are the first couple of twist ones I have done. They go together real easy.

Let me know what you think Mav...I have done mostly the click cartridge pens and only a couple of the twist ones. I have my preference, but I could be wrong, and may need to try some more of the twist kits.

to follow back up with you doug, I delivered these pens to the folks that ordered them. A girl they work with saw me hand the pens over and wanted to order a gold cartridge twist with afzelia burl just like the one above. she also wants a gold twist with camo. One is a fathers day gift and the other is a random gift for a friend. I asked why the twist vs a click pen and she said the twist pen looks more like a bullet vs click type. dont know?
Either way I was happy to get the next sale. My wife was happy too cause now I can order the hollowmaster without spending money out of our checking acct.

Thats great Mav. Now you get to buy some new interesting stuff. The customer is always right. So the twist pens were absolutely the right choice to make.

I think they are gorgeous. I am not a big fan of teh camo either for some reason, but to each their own. I really like the antler with a bullet pen. I have yet to make one myself, but they are on the short list of pens to make next.
The nibs that come with these pens, are they a good one? Does anyone ever say anything about them needing to be a different color than the casing? I was just curious. I know you can buy different colored ones, but wasn't sure if it was even worth it, or just using the same one that came with the kit. Any input on that?
Thanks,
E

I think I like the antler best!
Twist cartridge pens don't have as many moving parts....therefore, they will probably last longer then the click. This is just my opinion....I've got both kits, and the click out sell the twist amongst the hunters/shooters that buy most of mine. At least count, I've sold 22 click, and 5 twist.....
