I have not posted anything lately so I figured I would start with this. I bought this blank a while back and forgot about it.

Looks great, Mav. I like the shape except I would like to see a bit more rounding on the top...it's a personal thing.

next one I make in this shape I will round off the top vs bringing to a point. I am always trying to come up with different designs that I like. I thought about making one like boodrow and zac post but ended up going to this design. I did not want to risk messing this blank up since it was the only like this I had. This is a test to see what the waters are like. I may try a truestone one down the road.

I really like it Mav. I'm not sure if I'd like the top rounded or not, I kinda like the pointy top. But, I would prefer to see the base be beveled toward the stopper hardware. That is a very subtle thing, but one that seems to soften the transition when the base is bigger diameter than the stopper hardware. A Trustone one would be awesome too! I have considered doing that as well...one of these days...

Nice! I've thought about a plastic one but have never done it - to me it sounds like a sanding nightmare! Yours looks nice! Zac

Clay,
As a follow-up to my comments. When I think of seating a bottle stopper, I visualize pushing it into the bottle with the palm of my hand. A pointed top poking in my palm just doesn't seem right.
On the other hand, women, being generally an impractical lot (from observations of the one I'm married to), seem to like the pointed stoppers since I've watched Boodrow sell them like hotcakes. ;D

I tested this style and even if you push down with you palm it does not poke your or hurt to seat the stopper. thanks for all the nice comments. zac sanding was same as any other acrylic blank or wood blank for that matter. I actually turned and sanded 100 thru 12k & polished with eee in 15 or 20 minutes. This design is probably the easiest to duplicate
thanks for all the nice comments by the way

Cody, you have to realize that women grip a bottle stopper a little different than us men do ;D

thanks boodrow, oh and I haven't met a practical woman yet. The closest one I found I married as fast as I could.
