Rescued wood! Kind of thought Doug would appreciate this....
Fella I now decided to re-stock an old flintlock rifle, guess he just wanted something new on a really old firearm? Anyway, he took this old, nasty, uncared-for wood off the firearm and pitched it in the trashcan! Being a fine re-cycling type human that I am(only with wood now that the vortex has me), I grabbed it and put it in my Jeep(this happened about 4 monthes ago....my back hurts too much to drive that bouncing piece of equipment)!
Didn't get that many useable blanks out of it. Lots of old hairline cracks, and I'm not into wearing turning projects!
