that's some nice work, Boodrow. They are all great but I'm partial to the shape of that second fan pull. No wonder they sell so quickly.

Cody I agree with u , the second is my fav as well. The bad thang bout the cones is they dictate to u a lot of what there is to turn. Ive cut my time in half , I can now do one in 1 1/2 hours , with bout 5 natty lites. Boodrow

Awesome Boodrow - I've been working real hard to get ready for a show at the end of the month - should have been taking pictures but I haven't. Maybe I'll dig 'em back out and take a final picture - so far I've got about 6 bullet pens and 8 stoppers done, I need quite a few more stoppers and several pens.
Hard to get ready for a show when you keep selling in between ain't it?
Your stuff looks great - lacquer dip on the stoppers? That etex red elm is super nice, much darker than I would have thought. That Ebony came out with a hell of a shine!
I like the fan pulls, dang ol' drill chuck was on back order - not sure if I'll get any of those fan pulls you sent me turned for my show or not.
Thanks for sharing!!
Zac

Fan pulls....I like the shape of the second one best, but they all look pretty sharp. Ya just can't go wrong with the pine cones.
Stoppers....the B&W ebony is my favorite.
Nice work.

Boodrow, not yet. I'm trolling for info, ideas and instructions, though. I will someday purchase a lathe, and when I do I want to be able to jump right in. Thanks for the comment on "Whodathunkit".

Thank ya kindly, Boodrow. I agree w/ you about the Codymeister. His work stood out immediately to me when I joined that "other site". Turnings and flatworks. Plus, he was a fellow Texan and that is ALWAYS a plus. I would be honored to learn from either of you. Thanks again and keep on spinnin'.

Yes Zac, It is a place where no BS is permitted. Just like the commercial says. "It's like a whole other country." Born and raised here, and I will live nowhere else. We got it all. Plains, prairies, beaches, mountains, canyons, rivers, lakes, swamps, and the most beautiful ladies on the planet. Now if the feds would do their job and beef up these borders a bit, I'd be living in Heaven! P.S. "How 'bout them Cowboys." ;D

Nice job Boodrow! Those light pulls look great. Ive cut my time in half , I can now do one in 1 1/2 hours , with bout 5 natty lites. Boodrow LMAO! Now I know how to speed up the Pine Cone turnings ;D I may have to try that (but with some good beer instead of Natty Lite ) I like the stoppers too! That is a great design on the BWE. LOML likes the Ebony stopper - she is a big fan of that real dark Ebony.

Doug good to see ur ole carcass back with us. Thanks to u for the small cones that I was able to do that. Tell ur war dept if she wants the mun ebony stopper we can work out a real deal. Anyway finished turnin the piece of elk antler u sent me , pretty labor intensive to say the least. And the bone whilst turnin smells like pure chit. Boodrow Thanks again my friend for sendin me the cones , I sold a pull today for 20 dollars. Boodrow

Boodrow I wish I was contributing to the turning stuff, but been busy with flat work these days. I'm glad you found a great use for those smaller cones, and now you got me doing light pulls too I really like them, and the smaller cones work great for them.
