...it's carpentry. This is the arbor I've been building. Hopefully by this time next year it will be covered with the Yellow Jasmine planted beside it. It's situated at the walk from the patio to the pool.

Nice job, Cody. Didja use store bought lattice panels or make your own?

Very nice! I'm sure it will look great with the flowers next to it - is yellow jasmine something that will grow up the lattice?

NICE JOB! I can see a nice swing hanging from it too... ... I guess you'll have to make another one for a Swing! ;D

Zac Yeah, that stuff will climb like Boodrow's monkey. ;D Karen did have a metal arbor there but the Jasmine got so thick after covering it that I could hardly keep it trimmed enough to walk through. I'm hoping I won't have as much of a problem with the bigger wooden arbor. And before someone points it out, yes, I know that Jasmine is highly toxic as are many ornamentals. I don't plan on eating the vine.

Looks great Cody. I think that vine might be poisonous. Had to do it. Really a fine job. You both will enjoy that for years to come.

That turned out nice, but the Jasmine will be hiding it in no time. One of the few things I really miss about the flatlands is evenings scented with Jasmine blossoms, I can still smell it if I close my eyes.

Looks nice, Cody! Bout time you built something that required some accuracy for a change. *poke* I coulda swore i saw you mention the species you used ... but I've slept since then and can't remember now ... Btw - that jasmine is highly toxic. don't go gnawin' on the vines, k?

Looks good there, Mr C. Looks like a lot of trips up & down the ladder, too. I like what you did on the ends of the joists (rafters?), simple, but dresses it up quite a bit. However ( and with all due respect), I've never been a fan of lattice (especially from an accomplished woodworker like yourself). But, if it's gonna be covered with greenery (BTW don't eat it), I guess I can let it slide, this time.

Thanks for the comments, guys.
Beamer, the species I used is PT SYP. ;D
Dave, actually I sorta like the lattice but as you noted, it won't matter much once the Jasmine has it covered.
Gotta go change the oil and filters on the lawnmower now...another check in the box or brick in the wall for Pink Floyd fans. ;D
BTW, this must be Pink Floyd week on 96X Classic Rock radio. I've heard lotsa great stuff from them lately.
