This is a couple pics of some stoppers ive turned while I had a break in workin on a project for my sister. I dont know what is wrong with imagechit on my puter , but more than a couple pics it just locks up. With that bein said here are 2 pics , the stopper ends are kinda dusty , been out of the package in my shop. One is a pine cone , the other is some spalted elm I got from Cody a couple months ago. I used the laquer dip on the elm and ca on the stopper. Boodrow

Great toppers!!!
You must have these all over the house by now. Sure are 'cranking' them out.... Getting ready for a 'show'?
Really like that Elm, the design draws me to it!

Lookin' real good!! I am a big fan of spalted stuff too! I'd bet those pine cones sell a fast as you can make 'em - makes you wonder how you are ever going to build a supply for a show??
Both look superb, I gotta try the dip method again but was just too unhappy with the results last time....probably my technique but still....

Wow, I really like them both Boodrow! I really like spalted wood too and that shape is very nice on the Elm.
Couple of winners you got there Boodrow!
Scott, they are great to just have for decorations sitting in a pretty bottle - don't have to be a wine bottle...they work on oil and vinegar bottles too and prolly some other bottles too.

Thanks Clay , only thang bout the cone stoppers is , Im afraid to get too radical with it . Tis soft material and I feel limited what I can turn. I do think thay are awesome. U wouldnt believe how folks eyes lite up when u show um one. The unique features are somethin to behold. I have to thank one of my friends on this site for the help he has given me. Boodrow
