Just got the latest Harbor Fright flyer.
Something leaped out at me from the top of the cover...
"LIFETIME WARRANTY ON ALL HAND TOOLS".

I think that's been around awhile ... i remember seeing it for at least a year or so ... i think.
One thing of note. I've been told by several different people that in California, "Lifetime" has been defined as 7 years for products. I haven't had the gumption to actually verify that, but it wouldn't surprise me.

Some of their stuff is getting pretty good . . . but I think they've been doing this a while on the mechanics tools, not sure what else they are covering. Their wrenches have elevated slightly above their 'tool-shaped piece of metal' days. Last year (or so) we did finally get a store within an hour of me (out in Worcester, MA) . . . and not too far from a favorite local used tool store. www.used-tools.com

It's right under the link up there . . . it just changed hands, the previous owner started two (or three?) nearly identical stores and sold them one by one after they were established. There is the one in Worcester, and there is also one in Waltham Which I also like a lot . . . and possibly one more that I have never been to, not sure where it is. The one in Worcester has the web site (above), and the owner does a walk-through and posts a youtube video every Tuesday or so (store is open Tuesday to Saturday 1-5, and til 7 on Thirsday). Sign up for the mailing list and you'll get the link as soon as it's posted, or you can just check the site for it. He also lists on Craigslist once in a while . . . like these goodies: tinyurl.com/ykgb6juBoth stores a great resources if you're missing a couple sockets or just like to look at old tools. They usually have sockets for as little as a quarter, and I've got some nice stuff for 50¢ at both stores. Both have a 'bargain' table that starts at $6 and goes down every week until it gets to 2/25¢, then the fun starts over again . . . once on a 2/25¢ day I combed the Worcester table for about $3.50 worth of drill bits with the old square brace shanks. Both are hit or miss for old WW hand tools, and both have a showcase of machinist tools and pricier sets of mechanics tools. They are definitely places you need to go to a lot. Oh, the Waltham store . . . it's on Main Street, just off the center, open Wed-Sat 1-5 only. maps.google.com/maps/place?cid=13956208664242167972Lastly . . .HFT Worcester . . . pretty self explanatory: www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/retail_stores.taf?f=detail&Retail_Store_ID=307Happy hunting!
