That right there would be another pine cone! It looks good Boodrow - you are really getting into these aren't you? Roughly how long does it take for you to go from pine cone to finished stopper? All the CA gluing and everything. Zac

Zac if u take into consideration of buildin the hardwood base for it , the beer breaks , lettin the ca glue dry , and epoxy the base to the cone, Ive prob got 2+ hours in it , im sure Doug has better time than that. When I finished this one this eve , I went ahead and made 3 hardwood bases for the next ones. Cuttin , gluin etc , Bottom line I love doin it. THanks for the reply Boodrow

I think that's the best one yet, Boo. There's some really interesting stuff going on with the seeds, etc.

We are going to have to get together and make some sort of display for your PineCone Stoppers.....I like the QuikGrip a lot, but I'd like to see just one of those great stoppers against a blue background, in a light tent.
The second photo(with the end of the cone) has a swirl in it. As if you were to spin it....you'd be hypnotised or possibly be sent on a 'flashback'. Very cool!!!

I think that might be the best one yet too Boodrow. My favorite part of the cones is the "petals" at the top - those just really appeal to my eye.
I also like the 3 thin slices of wood accents on the bottom end - that is my favorite way to do them.
Nice job Boodrow!

Very nice Boodrow - I'd call that one "elegant", and expect that it'll sell quickly.
Thanks, Mark

Maybe I missed it....
Didn't see what your using for accent pieces? And what do you use to put them together(CA or regular wood glue)??
Is that maple and bloodwood.........

I'm sure it is hard to keep them "in stock" - people will see them and be seeking you for orders, I'm sure!
