Here are a couple more carvings that I did in the past. This is the first walking stick I did several years ago. I carved it during a boy scout camp in Arkansas. The medalion on is is from the Philmont Scout ranch in Cimarron NM. I carved the face and then added the owl down below with a vine wrapping all the way down the stick. I used a knot for the owls eye and the other is shut to make it look like he is winking at you. The stick is hickory. This next one is a wedge I cut out of a red cedar tree I cut down for the wood. I kept the wedge and made a man in the moon face on it. The last on is a Santa I carved for my mother. After my parents passed away I got it back and kept it. I carved it and she painted it. The wood is aspen. The last one is a walking stick I carved a face on for my son. He used the walking stick when we took the trek in NM at the Philmont Scout Ranch. I used the one I showed above. There are lots of miles on those sticks.... ;D The stick is dogwood. I am going to try to get started carving again. Had too many irons in the fire the last couple of years and I miss it. Will post some when I get them.

Were you shooting for a "pissed off look" on the walking stick?
If so, you sure got it. If not, well you still got one.
