I like both a lot. the one on the left would look cooler if the bottom was done like the one on the right. I like how the one on the right turns back in at bottom where the stopper seats to the wood.

Awesome Boodrow - as far as the wooden bottoms.... I don't know - I like 'em both a lot. I kinda like the one on the left a scotch more, but they are both really nice.

Great job on both of the Boodrow. I like the shape of the one on the right the best but both have great contours. I agree with Mav that I would prefer to see the bottom of the left one dive back in towards the stopper like the one on the right does, but it is still a very cool stopper.
I predict they both sell quickly!

No being a wine drinker, and never having made a stopper....I'm not sure I'm able to offer anything other then the thumbs up!
Do you have those cones around your area, or are you raiding Dougs hiding spot out in the hills? The way your 'whipping' out these great stoppers, you better be planning a road trip!
Great looking finish!
Scott (got to turn a stopper someday) B

I like 'em, Bood.
The one on the left is my favorite, both the top hat look and the wood flaired out.
Why is one pine cone darker than the other....just Mother Nature doin' her thing?

Thanks yall for the replies , I pondered on cuttin the one on the left back toward the stopper on the bottom side , but somethin told me to let it be. Maybe it was natty lite? Also I dont know why some are darker than others , guess like Dave said mother nature. And like anyother thing u turn , U cant tell on the outside what the inside is goin to look like on a majority of wood. My personal pref is the one on the left , dont know why , Thanks again Boodrow

I have noticed that some cones are darker than others and I have no answer as to why. They are all different, which makes them all the more interesting. You just never know what is going to be on the inside of a cone.

They are both great but I like the one on the left best. It looks like a 4-beer design to me. ;D
