Need A Compressor?

In the LA Times today, Home Depot has an ad for a Porter Cable compressor for $169. (6 gallon) Oh yeah, the price includes a PC 23 gauge pin-nail gun.

As part of an employee I got my PC 23 gauge nail gun for $70, about 3 or 4 years ago. It is one fine nail gun. The current price is about $100+ for the nail gun.

Bottom line, the compressor is about $70.

The HD SKU appears to be 303976 and is called "Special Buy".

Yes... I have one from HF 2 tanks thingy I got on sale years ago... still works when I want it to... I think I got it on Sale for abt $90, reg. $145...

I'm sure that this one is probably better than the one I have... the gun is probably better than my $15 one too (reg. $23)!

BTW - I have had very good luck with HF nails of most gauges.

... me too... except once in a great while the nails will branch off to the side, etc. messing things up a tad...

They'll deflect no matter what brand they are - they hit a funny spot in the grain & it turns 'em.

That PC compressor, by the way, is an EXCEPTIONAL compressor if it's the same one I handled a couple of years ago. It's a true high-pressure compressor, and likes to be pressurized to about 150. Runs a bunch quieter than the HF pancake I had until it caught fire, too.

I was in the store of the sponsor of that other place today. I noticed that they have the compressor pin nail gun combo for the astounding low price of $199.
