I'm not surprised it sold if that's the one you showed me Saturday...really nice. I like that "top-hat" design.

Man, I love those. At some point I really have to try one of those - at this point though - I don't know if I feel comfortable messing around that much with the CA glue.... kinda like I don't have the patience for it right now.... maybe in the future. Hmmm..... read my post in the "turning bench" section..... maybe we could get a box full of pine cones stabilized!! Zac

Beautiful Boodrow. I love those. Man those make nice stoppers. I like the top hat shaped one best too and I'm not at all surprised that it sold so quickly - that is really nice. I think the bigger end of the cone has the best look and that design shows it off real well. The Artillery shell shape is nice too and I'll bet it sells soon too - it has a few more of the pine seeds showing and those seem to be something people really like too. By the way, I never mentioned this before, but it seems to me that the deeper you get into the cone the more seeds you get. Just a rule of thumb though because some of them don't have any seeds at all in them.
Zac, I'm calling Woodturningz about the stabilizing they are going to be offering to see if that is going to work. I agree we might be able to get a big batch done for everyone to try them out. The price seems very reasonable.

I have located several pine trees locally but all the cones are falling apart and I will have to wait till they start making more before I get my grubby hands on them. by the way boodrow those stoppers look great. I especially like the one on the right.

Those look great!
Put me on the list of those interested in grabbing a few stabilized cones if a group buy becomes a reality...I'd really love to try turning some of those.
