Maple Burl from a tree that we cut down in my Dad's back yard. I used a Gold Floral Perfect Fit ballpoint kit. Med CA only finish. As always comments and or suggestions appreciated. Thanks for looking.

Les,
Beautiful results. Was the burl green or cured? Did it require any "treatment" to keep it from cracking while it cured?
Thanks for sharing the picture of the finished pen as well as the burl stock.

Cool wood... Cool pen! I just noticed... your "Holder" is a blank of the same wood! Nice touch!

That is some wild burl Les. Nice that it is made from some wood that you harvested yourself.
I've never tried the Perfect Fit kit for some reason that I can't remember right now. But it looks great!
If you get that nice a finish with CA I don't understand why you usually use a poly finish. That finish sure looks comparable to the Poly finish you do.

Yep, three years so it should be as cured as it'll get. You know there's a bowl waiting to come out of that remaining piece of burl . . . .
Thanks, Mark
