Some of you may know me from elsewhere . . . but for those who do not . . .
I'm Mark, and I'm a toolaholic.
Seriously . . . I got into the woodworking hobby about 20 years ago when I wanted to make a cedar chest for my bride-to-be. I've dabbled in every area that interested me, and learned a lot along the way from watching 'Norm' and reading countless online threads.
I love tools as much as I like using them, especially old ones that can be reworked to do great things once again. I've restored a lot of hand tools to great usable condition, and even taken a couple stationary tools from 'trash to treasure'. All a part of that 'Yankee Thrift' mentality from living my whole life in New England.
I have not had a ton of time for woodworking of late, I've been really busy volunteering time with the Boy Scouts, and am presently 'Working my ticket' in the 'Wood Badge' program (those of you involved in scouts will realize that has nothing to do with woodworking, sadly
).
That is all for now . . . I'll likely lurk a bit . . . maybe answer a question or throw up an opinion here and there . . . and poke back in from time to time.
