Two of the small dog houses, I also do two other sizes, medium and large. These two are about 42" long and 22" wide. They are insulated, carpeted, have porches, a railing and a cedar shake roof. I will hang a name plate and install a small solar porch light yet. Then I need to figure a cost for these. Sold a couple last year for 200.00, thinking this year 260-280 maybe. What do you all think. Any ideas for improvement? Thanks, Les

Les I think those look great! I see no room for improvement unless u want to install a hot tub, cable tv, sound system or such. Boodrow

Nice dog houses, Les.

If they are seriously built to stand the outdoor weather than I don't think 250 or 280 is too much at all.
Those are really cool! Thanks for sharing!

Those are great. $250 is probably on the low end of what people would pay for one, too. My observation is that some people will treat their pets better than their children...and spend more on them. If the floor is doubled, an electric heating pad in between with an outdoor outlet on the doghouse might be an option...for an additional price. In floor heating would help keep the inside warm in really cold climates.

I have to agree with Cody here - they look more like $350 than $200 to me.
It's a fickle market though.
People just don't want to spend money - but then - some will spend far more than is believable on their pooches.
They are gorgeous.
One question - did you make the roof removable, so they can be cleaned easily?

Those look great, nice job. I've been going to build something like that for my mother's outdoor cat, still haven't gotten around to it. Curious as to how you built the base/floor?
Thanks ~Mike
