Deer and Elk Antler caps to go with the 96 Rifle Cartridge Bullet Pens ready for assembly. These, along with my current inventory hopefully should get me through the remaining Gun Shows for 2010. As always comments and or suggestions appreciated. Thanks for looking. Les

Holy cow! One hundred and twelve?!?!?! That is a lot of work, especially if you are not making them using the PSI cartridge pen kits. Good luck at the gun show. I am doing a gun show this weekend and I'm not quite sure what to expect, but I thought I was going to be doing well to have about 20 cartridge pens made for the show...I can't imagine doing more than a hundred of them! Nice job Les! They all look great

Holy crap!! Dude - next time post a picture of you rolling in money!!
Bestest of luck to you at the gun show - I'm thinking about trying my luck at a gun show also, probably won't be the next one in the area....maybe after that.

Do they all have the Poly finishing technique that you emailed to me? If so, how many hours do you have in them?
112 pens times 6 layers times 3.5(average)hours drying time equals 2352 hours. Not including assembly, or the time it takes to actually produce a real cartridge pen.....whew.
When do you sleep?
Scott (sure you have a system....right) B

I apply 4 coats of lacquer on the brass casing and bullet which only takes about and hour to dry between coats and I usually coat 10 at a time. The Antler takes 10-15 mins. each to turn and polish. Hey Les, one of these days when you aren't too busy...say you only have 30 or 40 pens to make... could you do a tutorial on a cartridge pen with a bullet nib?

Cody, I do have a tutorial that I did some time back, but unfortunately there is no way to post a PDF as an attachment on the forum? PM me. Les
