I have been in need of a new jigsaw for awhile now. I have a nice makita which i keep at work but my shop jigsaw is an OLD black and decker. While i dont use a jigsaw all that much it is nice to have a decent tool for the job when it is needed. At my local orschlen farm and home store i had been eyeballing a dewalt jigsaw and dewalt 1/4 sheet sander combo. It was originally priced for 129. A few weeks later it was marked down to 99. I picked it up yesterday for a cool 73.95. It was a model DEWALT DW317K 5.5 Amp Top Handle Jig Saw and a DEWALT DW411K 2 Amp 1/4 Sheet Palm Grip Sander. I didnt really need the sander as i love my bosch random orbit and my PC 505 sander, but it will come in handy. I know neither are the top of the line dewalt product but hey i thought the price was right. Any day you buy a new tool is a good day.....except the day i bought that damn dewalt 733 planer which is currently in pieces on my bench.
