I live in Alberta, Canada.
I retired from the Alberta Oil Patch in 2001 after 30 years. I took up wood working in 2003. My main addiction is Pen Turning which I have been doing over the past 4 years. I make Rifle Cartridge Bullet Pens which are great sellers at Gun Shows here in Alberta.
My favorite material to turn is Whale bone and Amboyna. I don't have a favorite pen kit yet.
I also have done quite a bit of Scroll Sawing and Intarsia and the pen turning addiction.

Hi Les! Good to see you here. I remember the beautiful pens you posted at the other forum, and another pen turners is always welcome here.
Are you still using your Polyurethane finishes on your pens?

Welcome to WoW, Les. Glad to have you join us.
I had no idea you were retired oilfield trash. I'm into my 38th year and still punching holes in the GoM.

Thanks Doug I could post my Tutorial here if you could tell me how? Les Sure thing Les. First check out the Articles, tutorials, etc. section here: worldofwood.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=articlesThat will give you a feel for what others have posted along those lines. Now, you may want to post it first in the turning section so we can ask questions and get your answers before it gets moved over to that section. The mods will move it for you when it is ready if that is how you choose to do it. Thanks for offering to provide that to our arsenal here.

Well, I'll be darned Les. I just tried to figure that out and I don't see anyway to attach a written document. What format do you have your tutorial in?
