I received an invitation to come and visit the new site, so here I am. My user name is grandpaw and several of you may remember me from other forums. I had a 24x40ft wood shop built and outfitted it with some nice tools after I retired and then was visited by Hurricane Katrina. After filling the shop with things from the house so it could be totally re done I have just never got around to getting back out there, and have gotten back in to my photography instead. I hope to get back out there soon and get back to doing some woodworking and picture frame building. I looked down the list of members and recognize several old friends from the other site. I'm not sure just how active I will be here just yet but it is nice to see some familiar names. I would like to thank Leo (arcticfox46) for the invitation to drop by and join in the fun, Jeff

I remember your issues with Katrina and your shop, Grandpaw, and wondered how things were working out for you. Good to hear from you once again.
I hope you get your shop going again and will continue to participate here at WoW in woodworking discussions.

Hey there Jeff,
Nice to hear from you.
Glad yer OK - sorry to hear about the shop.
Seasons change and sometimes so do our lives.
Dick Laxton - remember him - is here with us and quite an avid photographer himself. He also still enjoys the woodworking conversations. Nice havin him around too.

C'mon Gramps, you know you're itching to get those wood working tools running again. Welcome to the forum. Another [ 3 times now] grandpa. At age 47 yet.

Welcome over Jeff. Your skills are definitely welcome here. I'm actually in need of gaining some photography skills to take pictures of my woodworking projects for marketing purposes.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I have been trying to figure out how to reply. It finally dawned on me that I wasn't logged in so I didn't have a reply button. On the other site it was set to log me in automatically so it wasn't necessary. I'm not going to bore you with my photography but I did pick two photos to show you some of what I have been doing. One is a night shot of the bridge between Ocean Springs and Biloxi MS. including the yacht club pier and the other is of one of the local bayou scene, Jeff

These are the two images I was trying to get in my last reply. It took me a while to figure out how to post them, Jeff

Nice pics Jeff. Welcome to the forum. I was stationed at Pensacola Fl way back in '65. A few of us guys decided to rent a car and head to New Orleans one weekend. We never made it past Biloxi. Larry
