A Cedar chest has to be my all-time favorite project. I've made several of them out of Aromatic Cedar, too, and they are always hits with the recipients.
That one of yours is beautiful, even totally unfinished as it appears to be. The raised panels look great, too. Thanks for showing.

That is gorgeous Mike! I really like the raised panels. Did you put a tray on the inside?

Many thanks for the kind words. This was my first chest.I was going to make it out of pine or maple with a cedar lineing but when I priced out the wood, there wasn't a lot of difference,so I went with solid aromatic.Mitered corners with two coats of BLO and two coats of wipe-on poly.No finish on the inside of course! My wife loves it for her extra blankets etc.

Very nice chest, Mike!!!
Hooray!! Finally figured out this picture stuff !! Mike
Only thing, the folks on dial-up might appreciate if the pics were a tad smaller to start. Took a while to load, even on my broadband connection. ;D

Mike, Here's a link to a very cool little photo resizer. Download it, install it on your desk top, then drag and drop any photos you want to resize onto the desk top icon. It'll shrink down a copy of the pic and store it in the same directory as the original with a dash and the width in pixels added to the end of the file name but before the file type tag. You can even change the size you want by right clicking on the desktop icon, then choosing "Rename" and change the number at the end of the file name either higher or lower, then click OK. You can even drag numerous photos at once and drop them on the icon and it'll process all of them. And, it's Free.
