I need to dress up this hole. I'm thinking a bushing or strike plate sorta thing. Any suggestions?

I hate to sound like a broken record, but try Rockler first. Then try here: LINKY.

I used a Tee nut. one of those pound in jobbers. Drilled out the threads. Worked great, didn;t look bad, and was good and strong.

Seems to me I've seen brass bushings SOMEplace that would just about work right. Flanged on one end. I'm straining trying to remember where I saw 'em, though. They'd be a breeze to turn on a metal lathe... Actually, they'd be pretty easy to turn on a WOOD lathe with a scraper.

I've googled "French Door hardware", "Door Strikes", "Strike Plates", even plain ole "Door Hardware". I'm getting all kinds of stuff, but not what I'm looking for. If I knew what to call this thing, I'm sure I could find plenty of 'em. Threaded insert?....mmmaybe....Don't know if these people would go for that. Rockler had this... www.rockler.com/product.cfm?page=265&filter=french%20door%20hardware ....that little female piece is what I'm after. If I can't find something that'll look good, I'll probably make a little strike plate. A thin piece of brass about 1"x2" with three holes, one for the "male part", and two for screws.

Found it!!! www.homedecorhardware.com/deltana-sp12efb.htmlI learned (on another forum) that the whole thing is called a "cremone bolt set". I googled it, and after a few more clicks, right there's what I'm after. Thanks for the feedback, Gentlemen.
