OK - I have not yet finished the dresser design. I have been farting around with a stupid error message. However, I did find a work around. I do have a little suprise coming - and this IS directly related to General woodworking. I will be making box joints on the dresser - I just like them. I don't want to be tied down to making just one size box joint and I want more accuracy than the Norm Jig - sorry Norm. I was onto this several years ago, but forgot about it. Tim told me about it several years ago. Lately, on the old place I saw a post about it again. Sooo - I figured - when is a good time to make it??? How about when I need it -- like now. So - I am going to make a ? Ohh come on -- this should be real easy.

Yep, a Lynn's Jig. I saw that post too. I still read over there even though I quit participating.
I find it curious that some who rarely posted in the past are pretty active there now that so many have left. Hmmmm
Anyway, I'll be interested to hear how well the Lynn's Jig works, not only with accuracy but with overall ease of use. I've had the plans from Mad Mark's old site forever it seems but have never had a real need to build it. I've always just used a board attached to the miter gauge with a key inserted...works okay for short runs.

I use the Jigs from Oak Park... of The Router Workshop gang... works great!! I got all three (1/4, 3/8, & 1/2) on Sale! See: My Small Gallery: www.ncwoodworker.net/pp/showgallery.php?ppuser=1389&cat=500There is a writeup on me using the jig... Photo-shoot... Love it! I studied, it seems for years, before getting this one!

Just could never get them to work just right. I still have the old jigs and "could" use them -- BUT -- this is a good excuse to make the Lynns jig. I need to remake the threshold I made yesterday and I need to get some materials for the jig. I also put in some more DC gates today, that I have been NEEDING. Funny how - once you set out to do a project - you find that there are "other things" that need to get done.

I made a "Lynn's" jig but once I got an Incra fence on the router table. I use that instead.
