I have built a few things over the last couple of years and really enjoy working with wood. It all started when my soon to be wife wanted a deck on the house. I helped build that with her step dad. Then we wanted a big coffee table for the den with an all wood top, but the ones we liked were very expensive, so I wound up building one. Then I had to build the matching tables in the den. I have built a few more things for the house, but I have two kids, so I do not get too much time in the shop other than fixing the stuff we break. Hopefully, I can learn more about making fine furniture in this forum.

Nice to have you with us.
Don't worry - not all of us have the time to devote to shop time all the time.
I get in there when I can - which is sometimes only 1-2 times a year.
