Shipping kills me to doug! Ugh..... for $90 they'll ship a lathe to my house....ok - great....but I still have to get it off the truck. Fine - I admit - I can have it delievered locally where someone will pluck it off the truck with a forklift and I can pick it up at my leisure - but.... still..... 90 bucks???
I know Grizzly can't control the freight cost - but it still kills me when I have to order something real heavy. Luckily my lathe will ship FOR FREE when I order it.... maybe I should do that.... today or tomorrow maybe!!!

i have one of almost every brand ('cept Makita and Milwaukee - strange). Griz TS and BS, Delta DP and BS, Dewalt planer and small tools, P-C small tools, Ridgid SCMS, Ryobi 18V cordless, Jet dust collector, Reliant jointer, Nova lathe, bostitch, hitachi many small tools, shop vac...
i voted Hitachi b/c i find myself always going back to hitachi for small corded tools - routers, belt sanders, jig saw, circ saw, palm sander, finish nailer, and someum else...
i used to be almost all JET - i had TS, 2 lathes, DC and i liked em all. i just ended up upgrading away from jet... still great tools.
hm mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

WOW, like me, everyone here seems to get what works for them. No one has a set brand. I really didn't expect it though.

Like it or not, Craftsman really needed to be on the list. I only have two Crapsman pieces (table saw, planer), but I'd like to see a further expanded poll, broken down into: power hand tools, power stationary tools, and battery powered tools. Something else that may be fun is a list of ALL your power tools. It's take a while, but it'd be interesting!

I think maybe some folks might have been enticed to buy American Made. Not much still being made here, so it is a matter of which paint job has the best price on the day I buy something.

Yeah, I got a rainbow in my shop. Except I can't find any tools in purple.
