Hey everyone! My name is Sal and I'm a woodworker in Central New Jersey. I have a small shop of about 200sf but it's well insulated, heated, and air conditioned so I can work all year round. Currently, I am in the beginning stages of making a vanity in anticipation of a bathroom renovation within the next couple of months. It is going to be 43.5" wide by 31" high by 15" deep with four full extension drawers and a single center door. When I heard custom vanities can cost over $1000, I decided to use the 3 year old sheet of oak veneer plywood I had lying around the shop and try my hand at my first cabinet. The only additional expense so far has been the 5 full extension rails I bought off of eBay for $25. I tend to overthink my projects. That means I work slow so don't expect drastic progress. Thanks for reading...

Hi Sal!
Welcome Aboard!
I tend to do the same thing... You're not alone... I draw things out, study, and build every step in my mind & on paper before I start... There are times where I just jump in and DO something, thinking as I go, which is FUN... but usually NOT on a major project.
It will be interesting to see how your Vanity works out... We're to get our questions answered and to help others with their questions...
Enjoy!

Welcome to WoW.
I lived in Paterson and Bloomingdale, N.J. for awhile.
Keeping busy with a project will keep you out of trouble.
Good luck with your project.
Larry
