It's Phreez here, posting under my fathers name. It is December and this will be a "gift" for my mother so I'll go ahead and throw this up here. It's sitting next to a quarter . . couldn't find a dime. Lid looks a little dirty. Things look better without a flash (tip for all you people trying to cover up your imperfections. heh) Base is 5/8" Top is 1/2" Height 3/4"

Dang Phreez, that is a tiny lidded box you made there! Fantastic! And I bet your mom is going to treasure it! Nice job! I really like that, and now I have something more to add to my ever growing list of things I want to make on the lathe.

That's about the size of an acorn! Very cool.....
Maybe you need to build a lightbox and forget the flash? You get even light, and none of the intense dust blowouts......just a thought.
